Trainee Dental Nurse Wanted.
Become part of the dental profession in a challenging and exciting Dental Nurse role with Knockroon Dental Practice. If you are age 16 to 19 years and can commit to going to college once per week, we offer a great package for the right person along with a supportive and professional working environment where you can grow and reach your full potential. We are looking for people to work full time Monday to Friday, that’s just under 39 hours per week. It’s important that you have an open mind to learn new things as the whole dental profession has changed a little bit due to the Covid pandemic and it is likely that there will be some changes in the future too. Reporting to the Principal Dentist and Practice Manager, you will be assisting our dentists by working chairside under their instruction and that of other Dental Nurses. You will also be responsible for clinical and general cleaning of the practice to a very high standard along with general practice duties. Full training and guidance will be given.
Associate Dentist Wanted.
Knockroon Dental Practice is an independently owned, well established and forward-thinking practice in Cumnock, the heart of East Ayrshire, Scotland. We have an opportunity for an Associate Dentist to join us. This is a full-time permanent position and exciting opportunity for an ethically minded Associate Dentist to join our 3 surgery practice, and our experienced, patient focussed team.
Being suitably qualified and registered is essential, as is bringing with you a friendly and courteous manner with patients, good general dentistry skills and extensive knowledge. You will be a good team player, in return for which, you will receive the full support of our great team of Dentists, dental nurses and practice staff whist being given the freedom to structure your own workload in line with the progressive aims and objectives of the practice.
Reporting to the Principal Dentist and with the support of a Practice Manager, you will have clinical freedom in the practice, which is well-appointed with modern fully equipped surgeries including, digital radiography, rotary endodontics, digitalised with Software of Excellence and offering intra-oral scanning with iTero for Invisalign realignment. For an ambitious focused individual, who is, perhaps, looking for more autonomy away from ‘the hamster wheel’, this is a genuine opportunity to take ownership and make a difference in a growing dental practice. You’ll be given autonomy and the ability to share in the future success of the practice as it continues to grow. The position offers real long term stability in a beautiful part of Scotland.
For Emergency Appointments ONLY, you will be invited in to the practice on a ‘sit and wait‘ basis: This means, arriving at the time given to you, then waiting in reception until the dentist can see you. You could wait up to an hour.
ANY patient that gives false information to our reception team to get an ‘emergency only’ appointment, may be turned away, will be charged for the dentist’s time, (min of £60) or deregistered from the practice.
We apologise to everyone that really needs our emergency service, but some people lie to us, just to see a dentist which, causes even more delays.
